DDU-GKY aims to engage youths, as a part of the 'National Rural Livelihood Mission' (NRLM) and Government's 'Skill Development Initiative' tasked with the dual objective of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth.

The programme which will continue for eight months targets to produce skillful trainees effectively in the coming two years in four different batches.
